I did Halloween as Leaf Man. That day it reached a record temperature in the low eighties, but around midnight it began to snow. I went to a party that night, got tuned up, and crashed on the floor. The next day the party hosts wondered where all the leaves came from.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36092055.post-57531819978116729632013-10-28T20:43:51.603-07:002013-10-28T20:43:51.603-07:00Homemade costumes were the best! Wrap a big wooden spoon in tinfoil and you've got yourself a scepter fit for a queen, for example.Elizabeth H.https://www.blogger.com/profile/09161162407130146871noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36092055.post-1452735101238673172013-10-28T18:00:56.507-07:002013-10-28T18:00:56.507-07:00Actually, that looks adorable!

But Superman could be simulated by a blue sweat shirt with a yellow S pinned on and a red neckerchief for a cape. There were a few Halloweens with rain and temps in the 30s where the costumes were a mask, galoshes and heavy clothes under a slicker. I think it would have taken a glacier to keep us home that night.

Jeff The BearAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36092055.post-42255776231016271302013-10-28T17:12:01.370-07:002013-10-28T17:12:01.370-07:00cute! I showed up with a big bowl of delicious spinach dip, did more listening than talking, and left the candy and cupcakes to the kids. ;)Elizabeth H.https://www.blogger.com/profile/09161162407130146871noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36092055.post-65844202162035258412013-10-28T02:47:17.708-07:002013-10-28T02:47:17.708-07:00Neat.
