This triggered a memory of a poem I wrote a long time ago and actually mentioned in an old post. I'd forgotten. I'm a little embarrassed by how close the imagery is in both. I guess it works for me.
For the record, I tend to resort to chocolate in step four. Harder on the waistline, presumably easier on the lifeline....

Oh my gosh this reminds me of a great Life in Hell comic, "How to be a sensitive poet." It's just too good, I have to scan it.
Ok, here it is. Man, how I love the pre-Simpsons Matt Groening stuff. I can't believe this cartoon is 25 years old.
