Empty.

By rights, today I should be posting something deep and thoughtful about the young woman who inspired my blog's name, the Little Flower herself: St. Therese of the Child Jesus. The first of October is her feast day. I did go so far as to spend some time reading a few passages from Story of a Soul, but I'm once again unable to write.

It's so painful to have the drive, but nothing to say. I know it's mostly just a matter of doing. I need to start sitting down again in the mornings with pen and paper or what-have-you and letting whatever happens happen, good or bad. It just feels like nothing I have to say matters at the moment, ya know? I hate to even post to other people's blogs, 'cause I feel like all I can do is babble right now, and I'm just endlessly annoying everyone by existing. :-\

In happier writing news (perhaps!) the great NaNoWriMo forum purge is occurring as we speak, and in short order here we'll be barreling toward the starting line. If that doesn't get you excited about writing, what will?

I feel you. But remember, whatever you say, whatever story you tell, there are plenty that want to hear it.

So, just write. Let the readers figure out the rest!

As a Catholic I love the mention. I also agree with Deek. We all enjoy reading every story you tell. Lately I have felt the same way about writing and have been kind of slacking. But as we all know, once Nov hits it's game time. We all love you LFP don't get so down on yourself.

I share your writer's block and self disgust. My latest post was a very lame attempt to get something (anything) up there.

Just keep writing. You may not like what's coming out of your typewriter/pen/keyboard right now, but we're enjoying it out here.

I've missed you! I will pray for your writers block to end because I need to read more of your words-I know I'm terribly selfish! I should be praying for your writers block to end because you will feel better in getting the words out. Happy belated feast day! Just write-we'll all love it!

Strikethru gives me a thought. At least for your blog, just get anything up there.

There are some nights that I really don't have much to say (okay, make that most nights), but I feel like I have accomplished at least a little something if I can get a blog update posted. Even if its short.

Often times, just getting some coherent thoughts out, jump starts my brain to work on some other writing projects.

The fact of the matter is, the more any of us write, the more all of us get to read and procrastinate from writing ourselves:) So, do us all a favor and keep writing! Something. Anything.

Yes, and I thought of you, when I turned the page of my Lectionary. Go find the French notebooks (she IS the patron saint of France) and the pencils. The words will find you! There is no doubt about that.
Perhaps your schedule will permit a retreat?
Always good to see what you are writing.

Since everyone else is being so nice, I'm going to go ahead and stick with the tough love approach: quit yer bellyachin' and get back to work. There is not a single thing that you've ever posted up here that was crap. In fact, it's all more than pretty good.

So quit mopin' and get back in the trenches, soldier. Your country needs you.

Speegle, I like your approach.

Ditto what Speegle said. Only a lot nicer, and with a picture of a river and some flowers on the front of the imaginary card in which it's written.

Thanks, Speegle. I needed that. I think. ;-) And thanks to Duffy for the picturesque version.

Well, I've at least started reading through the last half-completed story. It's a start. Now if I could just avoid the NaNoWriMo forums for ten minutes at a time....

No one's put more crap on the interwebs than I have, especially lately. Sling anything out there, I say.

It's good practice for the NaNo.
